Update - TNA Wrestler Matt Hardy Says Former WWE Superstar Chris Benoit Did Not Murder Family
Recently, former WWE Superstar Matt Hardy tweeted a picture from his past. It showed him after dining at a Johnny Rocket's Restaurant with other former WWE Superstar Gregory Shane "Hurricane" Helms, a Johnny Rocket's Worker and Chris Benoit.
If you have heard of Chris Benoit, you probably know he also wrestled for the WWE and at one point was considered a Superstar until reports of a Double Murder-Suicide began to pop up at Chris Benoits home with Benoit being the suspect.
The WWE cancelled its Live Monday Night Raw for the first time ever and instead aired a tribute show to Benoit before the circumstances surrounding his death were revealed. That was the last time the WWE ever mentioned Chris Benoit on the air.
Now Matt Hardy has come forward, more than 4 years after that fateful day with new information regarding the death of Chris Benoit and his family.
Matt says that the media's reports of the events are a little mixed up. He says that he does not dispute that there was in fact a double murder-suicide, but says that it was Chris' wife who killed her husband and their son.
Matt said that he received his information from a source close to the family who says that this was the official outcome of the criminal investigation done at the scene.
I only wonder if this is the case Matt, why hasn't it come out before now?
