Glenwood Springs, CO - Esther Haywood, a retired Secret Service Agent who turned 93 years old four days ago, is now a hero after she single handedly prevented a bank robber from getting away with the banks money.

Esther walked in to the bank and saw the robber pointing a gun at her favorite teller. The robber never saw Esther walk in to the bank. Esther being a former member of the United States Secret Service still carried her own firearm for her protection.

She reached into her handbag and pulled out her loaded 9mm and ordered the armed robber to drop his weapon. When he turned and pointed his gun in her direction she fired one shot and hit the robber right in the chest. The robber fell to the floor and security quickly jumped in and took control of the situation.

Esther's quick thinking and incredible accuracy saved the day for the Glenwood Springs branch of The First Colordao Bank. We're told the robber is expected to live to stand trial.

Esther had this to say to about the ordeal, "After all these years I still got it. I saw my friend in trouble. I saw a man with a gun and instinct took over and I have no regrets. He was a bad man and he's just lucky I'm still such a good shot."

That's one tough granny.
